Accounts Officer sought for a 3-month engagement with opportunity for extension in a government organisation

Your new company
A state government organisation based in Melbourne’s CBD.

Your new role
Working within the finance team, you will be responsible for:

• preparing and processing project financial transactions including AP, purchasing card, personal expenses, reconciliations and journals
• supporting the team to deliver accounts advice, support and reporting to a range of stakeholders
• administering asset management system
• supporting monthly accruals process
• managing and maintaining record and document management database

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this attractive role, you will ideally have:

• a working knowledge of Oracle and reporting systems, particularly AP functions
• proven experience providing accounts support services
• proficiency in Excel and electronic records management systems
• demonstrated ability to gather data and information to prepare accurate reports to be used by stakeholders
• high attention to detail, particularly in preparation and review of documents
• highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
• an appropriate tertiary qualification
