Your role at Hamilton Murphy

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Manager to join an energetic and driven personal and corporate advisory team. Hamilton Murphy is an established and dynamic insolvency practice is based in Richmond and has an adaptive, professional and driven culture. 

You will work autonomously on bankruptcy matters whilst working directly with the trustee, as well as having around 4 to 5 accountants reporting directly to you depending on the engagements. You will also be provided structured progression, training and support to help guide you to reach your full potential.

About You: 

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential you have:

  • 5+ years experience in bankruptcy in a similar role within a professional practice
  • A sound working knowledge of the personal insolvency market and relevant legislation pertaining to bankruptcy, personal insolvency agreements and debt agreements
  • Degree in accounting/commerce/law or other related industry
  • CA/ CPA Qualified, ARITA certification advantageous 
  • Meets with clients and can form positive relationships
  • Manages workflow of the team and communicates with the partner on a frequent basis on necessary matters
  • Proven ability to manage & mentor junior staff
  • Reviews work of junior team members
  • Shares knowledge, best practice and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team
  • Strong problem solving, financial analysis & investigative skills
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Extremely driven with the ambition to progress within the insolvency industry
