About the Company
An established, 50+ staff, Toowoomba based accounting firm have recently opened an office in Clayfield, Brisbane.
The Brisbane office currently has a Director and eight staff but will be growing to 12 staff in the next few months. Due to a growth of Brisbane based clients, the firm are now looking to hire two new staff members to join the team. There will also be options to work out of the Toowoomba office from time to time.
About the Role
As an intermediate Accountant, you will mainly focus on compliance work but will spend around 20% of your week in client meetings with one of the Managers. You will receive full training in value-add advisory with the view to progressing to more of an advisory focused role on promotion to Senior Accountant.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparation and review tax returns, financial statements and BAS;
- Sitting in on client meetings on a quarterly basis; and
- Being a ‘buddy’ to a Graduate Accountant.
Skills required for the role:
- Relevant degree and CA / CPA qualification (or commenced studies);
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role within an accounting firm; and
- Exposure to primary production clients will be advantageous but not essential.
Benefits and Remuneration
- Salary between $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience;
- All professional membership fees paid;
- Work for a boutique firm in Brisbane but have the support of a larger accounting firm (HR, marketing, admin, book-keeping staff, receptionist);
- The ability to work from the Brisbane or Toowoomba office;
- Parking provided; and
- Flexible hours can be considered.
