Join an international logistics organisation on a permanent basis and be part of their tight-knit finance team
Your new company
Located just off Logan Road in Central South Brisbane, our client is a logistics organisation that specialises in domestic and international freight requirements. They have recently expanded the scope of their operations & require a capable financial accountant to support the current finance team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for typical financial accounting functions across the organisation. If you lack experience in the logistics industry, mentoring will be provided to ensure that you learn the specific requirements expected of you. Duties include:
- Preparation of month end financial reports
- Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts
- Review and analysis of profit & loss statements/balance sheets
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities & recommendation of strategies
- Supply chain management, liaising with stakeholders & identifying areas of improvement
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (accounting, economics, finance) or Business (supply chain management)
- CA/CPA qualification (desirable)
- 4-5 years of experience working in a similar role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Aptitude to pick new things up quickly & work autonomously
- Strong technical accounting skills
