About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst, Retirement, you will assist the Senior Analyst with providing accounting support to the Sales and Marketing teams to aid in accurate and timely reporting of divisional activities. This position works cooperatively with the Analysts, Retirement Finance, Sales and Marketing and fellow staff members to attend to financial and accounting duties within Aveo Group.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely processing of all purchase orders and monthly accounts for all marketing teams in the financial reporting system
- Accurate and consistent coding across all villages and marketing departments
- Responding to all enquiries professionally and in a timely manner
- Ensuring accurate input into the correct legal entities and ensure all invoices have appropriate approvals and comply with the Delegations of Authority
- Ensuring accurate recording of GST in the accounting system and meet GST legislative requirements
- Accurate processing of sales incentives, sales commissions and reconciliation of applicable Balance Sheet accounts
- Ensure processing is completed within time frames set by line manager and/or other teams, and prompt filing of invoices and supporting documentation
- Other ad hoc accounting tasks, as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience in similar accounting roles with use of large accounting software packages (TechOne desirable)
- High volume invoice processing
- Intermediate/Advanced user of the Microsoft Suite
- Competent user of Tech One or similar large accounting software package
- High level of data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of honesty, integrity and professionalism
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise and work with minimal supervision, particularly around month end
