Adelaide Residential Builder located 15 mins North of Adelaide. We are seeking the services of an experienced Accountant to join our team. We continue to experience exciting growth and enjoy a stable and close-knit team environment with a supportive and open culture.
Full time, or negotiated part time for the right candidate. This is a hands-on role that involves managing and executing the day to day Accounting activities of the business with all aspects of an Accounting function.
Your Key Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- General Ledger management
- Management reporting and creating dashboards to monitor cash flow, income and expenses
- Creation and Monitoring of internal controls, financial systems and processes
- Statutory and Tax reporting with a property & construction focus
- Assist with month end and year end reporting
- Liaising with auditors
- Provide support to the business on accounting policy issues ensuring group compliance
- Monthly cash flow forecasting
- Responsibility for BAS, Super and Payroll Tax obligations
Key Requirements
- Qualified accountant with audit training background preferred
- Experience in the property and building industry preferred
- Driven and self managed individual, that can not only drive their own role but the team around them
- Proactive individual not waiting for someone to give them a task, but constantly looking to improve process and procedures
- Demonstrated competency in managing cost control and cost forecasting processes in a medium sized business
- Organisational skills and excellent time management skills
- Work independently
- Broad skill set inclusive of management accounting understanding is advantageous
- Experience with XERO, Receipt Bank, construction estimating software and similar software packages
