The Company
Our client is a US listed global leader in the financial services industry. They achieve their dominant market position through the cutting edge innovative technologies they implement. They are going through a period of sustained growth here in Australia and currently see annual turnover of $400million. They are seeking a switched on a driven Accountant with experience within the financial services industry. The role is unique in its exposure to senior management and business partnering opportunities. This role is CBD based, and presents the chance to join an innovative growing company.
The Role
As the Senior Financial Accountant, reporting into a very impressive Financial Controller who actively promotes high performers in his team. you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports
- Preparing month end P&L statements and variance analysis
- Preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts
- Overseeing and supporting yearly cash flow forecasts and quarterly reforecasting
- Preparation of tax, FBT and BAS statements
- Prepare inter-company reconciliations
- Assisting Financial Controller on various duties
- Assist in implementing new processes and projects
Your Profile
The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills and be looking to develop their business partnering skills. You will be driven to grow and develop with the company with progression plans in place to move into senior management positions. You will be either CPA or CA qualified and have strong Financial Accounting experience within financial services. This will be accompanied by the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
