An exciting opportunity has arisen at Gate Gourmet for a Payroll Coordinator in our HR team located at our Mascot Head office. Here at Gate Gourmet we take extreme pride in the work we do. Position summary: The Payroll Coordinator reports to the Payroll Manager and is responsible for collecting timekeeping information, incorporating a variety of deductions into a periodic payroll, and issuing pay and pay-related information to employees.

Other responsibilities would include:

• Preparation, processing and checking of all aspects of weekly and fortnightly payrolls
• Maintain payroll files and records of all employees
• Produce and distribute weekly reports to department heads
• Liaise with the company Rehabilitation Co-Ordinator on status of all claims
• Process Award based Superannuation and liaise with fund administrators
• Process monthly remittances on employee deductions
• Handling of enquires on all payroll related issues
• Ensure deadlines are met for all business activities
• Ensure data accuracy at every step of the process
• Coordinate and effectively communicate with identified stakeholders relevant to the role

 Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years award based payroll experience in Australia, working in a high-volume payroll function
• Ability to interpret EBA/Award conditions
• Payroll and Neller Preceda experience in Australia an advantage
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills
• Crystal reporting creation an advantage
• Strong, multi-focused administration and co-ordination experience in a complex, deadline orientated and fast- moving environment.
• Analytical with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word at an intermediate/advanced level essential.
