We currently have an exciting opening for a Payroll Officer to join a highly reputable retail function group, on a permanent part-time basis. This opportunity also offers the benefit of being perfectly located in within the Melbourne CBD and the flexibility of working part-time, preferably 3 days per week.
Client Details
Our client is a growing retail chain, who have doubled in size over the past 2 years and are currently forecasting similar amount of growth and expansion over the next two. This position will start on a part-time basis but has the potential to be made full-time as the organisation grows. This position is one that will have you working as a Payroll Officer at their Melbourne CBD head office, where they are known for having an energetic, inclusive and diverse working environment.
Description
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Team Leader, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- Processing end to end payroll on a fortnightly basis
- Accurately process new starters and leavers into the payroll system
- Calculation of annual, sick and long-service leave entitlements
- Payroll Tax and superannuation calculations
- Monthly reconciliations for all Payroll activities
- Assist with answering employee queries in a timely manner
- Other ad-hoc duties required by the manager
Profile
The successful applicant would preferably have previous experience in an end to end payroll position and be familiar with a wide variety of EBA’s and Awards. A high attention to detail and an ability to action payroll queries quickly is mandatory in this position. Also, the ability to work in a team based environment and also autonomously when required is expected in this position. A positive working attitude and the willingness to take on added ad-hoc responsibilities would be preferred. Previous exposure to ADP payroll system would be advantageous, however are not essential.
