Graduate Accountant
Equity Partners is a rapidly growing accounting firm based in Braddon, Canberra. Our firm provides a vast range of accounting and consulting services to government agencies, listed companies, private groups, not-for-profits and a limited number of private clients. Our current team are vibrant, highly driven individuals who are intent on making Equity Partners a long term success. We have members of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and CPA Australia, along with junior staff who are currently progressing through the institute's program.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts
- Prepare work papers for Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reports
- Preparation of BAS/IAS and Income Tax returns
- Other duties as assigned by management
Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals with:
- A good understanding of Australian tax and accounting,
- Training in Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software,
- Preference will be given to those currently completing CA/CPA,
- The ability to follow direction yet also show initiative, combined with advanced written and verbal communication skills,
- Who are highly organised,
- Have impeccable attention to detail,
- Are an Australian Resident and have a proactive approach to work.
What support will be available?
You will have open and direct contact with the Partners and senior staff members of Equity Partners and be provided with high quality in-house and external training programs. With time, you will be given the responsibility to independently liaise with clients and manage your own workload.
