Carrick Aland Pty Ltd is a locally owned accounting firm with an established team of highly qualified personnel with offices in Chinchilla, Dalby and Toowoomba. There is a position available in each of our Dalby and Toowoomba offices.

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our team. This position could suit someone who is studying for (or recently completed) an accounting degree or someone with some accounting / bookkeeping experience.

The role will include duties including, but not limited to

• Preparation of Income Tax returns and Business Activity Statements,
• Preparation of financial statements including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets
• Assisting senior accountants
• Assisting clients in use of various accounting programs such as MYOB and Xero
• Deal with the ATO for client matters

We require the applicant to have the following:

• Effective time management skills and the ability to work within time and budget  
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong computer literacy
• Ability to solve problems and use initiative
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate with clients
• An Australian citizen or have Permanent Residency status
