Industry Beans is recruiting a Financial Controller.  A new position in the company, this role will provide an exciting opportunity to head up the financial management of the organisation. 

Currently a 60 staff organisation, Industry Beans is expanding its team across Australia with new operations requiring investment in people, processes and organisation to ensure the business grows with robust financial practices and procedures in place.

Reporting to the CEO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for all financial and reporting requirements of the company.  This role will require an individual who is passionate about working with an exciting business undergoing significant growth and is prepared to be a key driver in building a strong foundation for long term success.

Key Requirements of the role:

  • Establish best practice financial systems and reporting processes
  • Manage budgets, cash flows and accounts consolidation
  • Financial data analysis and sales data reporting
  • Advise on commercials and SLAs
  • Manage BAU such as payroll, BAS, AR/AP, bank accounts
  • Ensure all compliance and governance regarding tax and accounting compliance for regulatory and legal requirements; together with External Accounting Firm and Legal Advisors
  • Manage the accounting of projects and programs
  • Reporting and accounts management utilising Xero
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting is timely and accurate
  • Provide commentary to the Board around the business through data analysis
  • Manage costs within the businesses to make improvements to the bottom line
  • Innovate and evolve the existing financial processes
  • Assist with Government grant applications
  • Research and Development grants coordination

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Have strong technical knowledge of Management Accounting, Tax and Finance
  • Be a thorough project manager delivering timely and accurate reports
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exercise excellent attention to detail
     

Education and experience:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting
  • CPA (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior finance role
  • Experience in process and systems improvement
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Highly proficient in Xero
  • A proven background in establishing robust processes and systems.
