We are currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Officer. This Melbourne based role is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner;
  • High level of attention to detail, numeracy and literacy;
  • Effective organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet set deadlines;
  • Demonstrated experience working in an account receivable role within the FMCG industry or hospitality;
  • Relevant knowledge of accounting principles and practices and/ or general bookkeeping practices and procedures;
  • Detailed understanding and ability to work with software packages, particularly Microsoft Dynamic AX and Excel.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Enable delivery of accurate and timely information to assist with measurement of company financials by delivering accurate receivables reporting to key stakeholders;
  • Generate and analysis of reports to assist the business in achieving objectives;
  • Daily monitoring and chasing of overdue debt, including development of payment plans or stop credit;
  • Processing of trade references / ASIC reports for new customer accounts;
  • Customer Service, providing invoices and statements to customers;
  • Undertake debtor account reconciliations;
  • Investigate and solve payment discrepancies;
  • Assist with the end-of-month closing of accounts and systems for accounts receivable;
  • General data entry, reporting and administration tasks.
