The Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused senior finance professional to join one of the leading Insurance groups in Australia in a pivotal decision support position.

Reporting into the Head of Finance for this front line business unit you will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders offering commercial insights and strategic financial advice. Deliverables will also include:

• Forecast financial performance by understanding strategic issues and opportunities facing the business
• Provide strategic influence on business strategy
• Own the annual budgeting process and 3 year rolling forecast
• Develop and review business cases and business plans
• Design and implement performance measurement systems and reporting tools
• Develop profitability metrics and frameworks

Required Skills and Experience

• Qualified CA, CPA or CIMA
• 7-10 years + experience in finance business partnering, business unit finance or decision support
• Experience in senior finance roles within large financial services organisations
• Experience in developing business strategy
• Proven track record as high achiever and top performer amongst peer group
