A contract role has become available within a Qld Government owned corporation in Brisbane's CBD for an experienced Payroll Advisor (SW07).  The successful applicant will need to be available to commence asap for an initial six month period with the possibility of extension.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for managing the end to end payroll process, responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that system requirements, legislative requirements, timeframes, service standards and business outcomes are met.
  • Ensuring all EFT transmissions are sent in the required timeframes.
  • Providing and coordinating high level advice and support to employees in relation to the interpretation and application of industrial legislation, policies and enterprise agreements to support quality client services.
  • Undertaking quality checks and audits of payroll data to ensure the accuracy of payroll service operations, as well as compliance with audit processes.
  • Manage and develop payroll and HRIS systems, including advanced functionality, to improve, automate and innovate business processes.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and maintained.

To be considered, you will need to demonstrate previous experience in an aligned capacity, including:

  • Strong capacity and experience in managing and developing payroll and HRIS systems, including advanced functionality, to improve and automate business processes.
  • Experience in operating and administering Aurion payroll system.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and maintain strong client relationships, with a proven ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake a range of HRIS projects, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and with limited direction to deliver high-quality innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to manage a small team in the delivery of end-to-end payroll services.
