The Company

Our client is a reputable mining services business which has grown steadily over the last couple of years. You will be working in a busy finance team and reporting directly to a hands on Finance Manager. 

The Role

• Assist in the preparation of the month end management accounts
• General ledger maintenance and daily reconciliations
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
• Cash flow monitoring and weekly reporting
• Treasury reporting - cash position, cash forecasts and foreign exchange
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, debtors, creditors and other balance sheet accounts.
• Detailed monthly analysis and reporting of departmental costs
• Support unit managers with relevant and up to date financial information
• Review AR/AR ageing reports and contact customers regarding outstanding payments
• Preparation of the companies fixed asset register
• Assist and support the payroll and accounts, payable officer
• Ad-hoc reports and tasks as required by senior management

Requirements

• Ideally you will be a suitably qualified CA/CPA 
• Confident communicator with highly developed written and verbal skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Previous experience within the resources sector will be highly regarded
• Ability to take direction and work as part of a high performing team
• You need to be methodical, organised and detail orientated
• Capable of multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines
• Self-motivated
