Heidelberg Cement has undertaken a global initiative to continually improve our ReadyMix Concrete Business.  A new Group function – Competence Center ReadyMix (CCR) has been established to support Country management to continually improve the ReadyMix Concrete Business by reducing costs and increasing Margin.

We are seeking a self-motivated and professional Business Analyst to join our Brisbane office.

Reporting directly to the Global Director CCR, the purpose of this role is to support CCR and its global initiatives by:

• Analysing data and clearly identify business improvement opportunities and returns on improvement initiatives.
• Converting business concepts into structured models and communication presentations.

This role would suit a person with < 5 years’ experience and looking to develop their skills, knowledge and career.

To be considered, Advanced Microsoft Excel and Intermediate or Advanced PowerPoint experience is essential.

If selected for this significant opportunity your main responsibilities will include:

• Produce professional models that support and represent the CCR concepts.
• Develop professional presentations that effectively communicate complex concepts in a simple manner to a wide audience.
• Analyse, prepare, and interpret data for use by the CCR team and provide input on efficiency and operational improvement opportunities.
• Develop and provide concise, creative, accurate and meaningful reports and presentations under the guidance of the CCR management team. 
• Proactively source information on a global basis through relevant sources (internal and external).
• Provide monthly updates to key stakeholders.
• Provide adhoc reports as required.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Focus on quantifiable results and continuous improvement.

To be considered, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
• Intermediate or Advanced PowerPoint skills.
• Proficient in a range of Microsoft applications
• Experience with SAP desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field well regarded but not essential.
• Ability to understand technical business concepts quickly.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand key business drivers.
• Knowledge of base principles of statistics, research, collection and interpretation of data.
• Commercial knowledge of business flows is desirable. 
• High level of verbal and written communication.
• Ability to understand complex conceptual ideas and translate them into effective analysis and Management Presentations.
• Analytical and Logical thought processes.
• Possess strong quantitative analysis, research and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail

Working alongside the global team your role will involve communicating with international partners in various time zones, some flexibility in working hours is required.

You will be results and improvement focussed by nature, self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously. To be successful you will need to have a strong work ethic, high level of analytical and logical mind, with a passion and flair for analysis and presentation of data.
