The Organisation

Due to the expansion and success of the business they are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team. The company’s goal is to provide quality service to their clients and suppliers in support their business as its own while working alongside a great team culture supporting each other.
  

Position Description

Reporting into the Shared Service Manager, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with nkey tasks involving:
  • Ensuring the weekly/fortnightly/Monthly payroll processing two different pay runs
  • Managing a team of 6
  • Take responsibility for award and enterprise agreement legislation
  • Resolving any queries relating to Payroll across the direct team
  • KPI reporting on payroll efficiencies
  • Review potential improvements in systems and processes
  • Drive change and continuous improvement to drive efficiencies across the Payroll function
  • Leading, coordinating and managing the direct payroll team
  • Provide staff training to all staff
  • Developing organisation policies, procedures, standards and training tools
  • Customer service and relationship building
  

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Previous experience in full function Payroll processing
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams
  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant organisational change through project management
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
  • Experience working in a large organisation
  • Proven process improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of Time and attendance
  • Strong attention to detail
