An exciting opportunity has come up to lead a team of Accounts Payable Officers for a reputable mining organisation based in Perth. This is a challenging role that does not come up often!
Client Details
Our client is a successful mining organisation with projects based both locally and overseas. Based in the heart of Perth, our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to overlook the AP team with previous experience leading a team and processing high volume AP involving multiple currencies and inter-company transactions. If you are looking for the next challenge and want to be part of a system project this is the role for you!
Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role will include but will not be limited to:
- Processing end to end accounts payable - multiple currencies and entities
- Supervision of up to 5 employees
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external business partners
- Implementation of improved business processes
- End of month reporting, reconciliations and journal entries
- Active involvement in automation projects and streamlining of processes
- Ad hoc duties as required
Profile
To be considered for and successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Be able to demonstrate your ability in fulfilling end-to-end AP, in a complex and high volume framework
- Demonstrated previous team leading experience as well as work autonomously as required
- Ideally be coming out of a mining organisation or project-based industry such as engineering or construction
- Ideally have experience in multi-currency transactions, as well as inter-company transactions
- Previous exposure to Microsoft Dynamics is ideal
- A team player attitude and an ability to take responsibility and ownership of work
- A high level of communication skills and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic as well as high attention to detail
