Senior Accountant

About the Firm:

About the Role:
The role is principally supervised by the Manager/Partner and the responsibilities will range from the performance of all or a substantial part of the work attributed to a portfolio of clients.
The right candidate will effectively manage their workflow and assists the manager to ensure that work is efficiently allocated to other team members. You will eventually be responsible for training, coaching and reviewing work of those team members.

Responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Administration of client portfolio, including engagement letter and fee proposals, billing clients, monitoring and meeting deadlines
  • Maintaining and developing of new and existing client relationships
  • Liaising with the client to obtain information required to complete assignments
  • Preparation of neat, concise and complete working papers in accordance with present firm standards
  • Liaising with external stakeholders in order to complete work assignments
  • Vast understanding of Handi Tax and associated programs

 

About You:

You will need to have:

  • Minimum 2 Years full-time work experience in business services in an Australian Public Practice
  • Australian tertiary qualification in a Bachelor of Business or Commerce degree (Majoring in Accounting)
  • CA/CPA qualified or partially qualified
  • Passion for building client relationships
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and effective leadership skills
  • High Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong delegation skills
  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills to different situations
