As our Assistant Financial Accountant you will be working within a fantastic little Finance Team who partner closely with our sales, professional services and marketing groups. Due to continued growth and success, we are looking for an astute person who is passionate about creating value for our customers. Your role will encompass the daily financial running of the business, with a focus around month end activities. However, this role has the potential to develop over time for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with closing month end accounts in an accurate and timely manner, including preparing journals and calculating commissions for employees
• Preparing monthly payroll for review, including payroll journals and reconciliations
• Responsibility for monthly and quarterly statutory compliance requirements such as superannuation, PAYG and Payroll Tax, Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly cash flow forecasts
• Completing month-end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts in Blackline (Reconciliation Programme for month end reporting)
• Assisting with interim and year-end audits
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects including upcoming system implementation of SAP

                                                            
About you

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude. We are a small team at BBP and work closely with those within the business
• Tertiary qualified and CPA/CA qualified or currently studying for CPA/CA qualification
• Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role - a multinational organisation would be ideal
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of Financial Accounting and Accounting Standards in an ANZ context, with global experience an added advantage
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Exposure to a large ERP system is preferred -  NetSuite or SAP preferred
