THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to use your business partnering skills to provide strategic financial support and advice to a growing business unit undergoing significant transformational change. In this newly created role, you will be reporting directly to the senior National Nursery Manager and have the ability to significantly influence the bottom-line through your expertise in implementing costing regimes within complex production processes. With a small team to support you, your key duties will include:

• With your team, providing sound financial leadership to the nursery department.
• Prepare and submit financial reports for compliance, governance and operational purposes.
• Develop best-practice reporting mechanisms.
• Facilitate Capex Applications and manage capex programs against project deliverables and budget.
• Implement strong governance for all operational and capital spending including supplier agreement and tender processes.
• Provide sound leadership & supervision to direct team.

• CPA credentials coupled with undergrad qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related.
• Previous exp and knowledge of costing systems within complex  production/manufacturing systems.
• Agriculture or horticulture experiences would be looked on favourably.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong computer and technical accounting skills and high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems e.g. SAP or related.
• Strategically and analytically minded
• The ability to travel interstate if necessary from time to time
• Full unrestricted working rights
