The Company

This highly innovative and rapidly growing retail business are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant. The role presents the opportunity to step into a hugely autonomous role where you will be able to take full ownership of the tax function. In the role you will be primarily responsible for the preparation and submission of full and half yearly statutory reports and tax requirements. You will be reporting to an excellent Finance Manager with a big four background. Ideally you will have at least 4 years local experience in a big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm.

The Role

As the Tax Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

• Managing submission of half yearly statutory financial reports
• Prepare corporate tax returns for ANZ, including liaising with external tax advisors
• Prepare internal tax reporting including T schedules
• Prepare the research and development tax claims, reports and submissions
• Prepare and lodge BAS and FBT returns and arrange SPRs for payments
• Identify & facilitate the effective resolution of Tax & Accounting issues

Your Profile

The right candidate for this role will have the following attributes:

• CA/CPA qualified
• Strong tax accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders
• Understanding of Australian taxation law
• Demonstrated focus on driving process improvement
