Our client is a top hospitality and events company located on the fringe of Melbourne's CBD. An exciting period of continued growth has resulted in them going to market for an Accounts Officer with accounts payable, payroll and bank reconciliations responsibilities. This is a rare opportunity for someone wanting a broad position in a fast-paced and fun working environment.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside the Financial Accountant and Graduate Accountant, your role will include:
- Scanning, coding and entering all invoices
- Uploading batch payment files to the bank
- Reconciling month-end statements
- Resolving Supplier queries via email and phone
- Ensuring supplier database is up to date
- Completing weekly bank reconciliations
- Processing weekly payroll
- Reconciling all payroll related accounts
- Processing monthly superannuation and payroll tax
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in an accounts role - accounts payable experience essential
- Payroll experience desirable but not essential
- Strong data entry and processing skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- An eagerness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic hospitality group
- Tertiary degree in accounting or a related field
