The Firm

As a small firm with a loyal client base across the Southern Queensland/Northern NSW region, we specialise in tax and business advisory services. An exciting opportunity has now become available for a progressive Senior Accountant to join our team with genuine career advancement opportunities for the right candidate.
The Role
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements across a range of individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSF's. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Directors at Beveridge Carey on a selection of clients and client groups with the view to managing them directly in the short - medium term. This role provides you the opportunity to mentor junior accounting staff and take that next step in your public practice accounting career. Over time, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with clients and make the role your own.
Skills & Experience Required
- At least 5 years' recent business services experience within a public practice environment
- CCH iFirm, Xero, Bankink, MYOB and Reckon will be highly regarded
- CA/CPA qualified (or near to completion)
- Personable and strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
- Ability to prioritise and manage workflow
- A desire to excel and build your knowledge
