My client is looking for a senior PMO finance analyst to come in for a long-term contract, you must be able to manage a project, must have infrastructure or government background to be able to come in and hit the ground running on this project.

 Main Duties:

• PMO Financial Analyst will provide the overall management and governance of all the financials relating to the projects within the Major Projects Portfolio. 
•  managing the portfolio and project budgets with appropriate forecasting.  
• To ensure there is an appropriate financial model that shows the forecasts as the projects progress and adherence to budget for each of the projects. 
• Provide portfolio reporting and analytics, and support the Governance
• Position sits within the PMO for the "Major IT Infrastructure Portfolio" reporting to the Portfolio Director.
• The Finance BA will sit within the PMO and drive forecasts, do monthly reporting and insights, working closely with the delivery team. 
• They will produce reports for the portfolio finance team and program steering committees
• Finance and experience working in a PMO is required.
• To ensure projects establish and maintain conditions for effective program initiation and management, leveraging project management
• operational and project risks, including delivery of business line roadmaps and key governance forums
• Partner with Finance to ensure capital investment in projects
• Measuring costs, efficiencies and performance of products
• Preparing monthly management reports

Must:

• CPA/CA qualified
• 5+ years on a complex finance project/PMO
• Government experience
• Strong Excel and system knowledge
• If familiar with Cognos TM1 that would be useful. Just use excel financial tools aside from that.
