Overview:
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with Xero and ideally also Trust Accounts experience, looking for a new challenge?  Are you looking for a part time role in the CBD with a small leading specialist Law Firm?  

The Firm:
Located in Melbourne's CBD, this leading specialist boutique law firm is recognised as one of the best in it's specialist field. The firm is long-established as the staff all get along with each other exceptionally well and work closely together in this thriving, fast-paced, down-to-earth and friendly environment.

The Role:
This Accounts role entails looking after the smooth-running of the Accounts side of the law firm on a day-to-day basis.  Training will be provided by the current outsourced bookkeeper, but you will be familiar with carrying out typical tasks including:
  • Entering Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions into the Xero accounts system.
  • Reconciling and ensuring the smooth running of the Office and Trust Account (the Trust Account is fairly small).
  • Managing the fortnightly payroll for approximately 10 staff.
  • Managing PAYG and BAS.
  • Preparing various financial reports.
  • Carrying out general financial administrative tasks.
Requirements:
To be suited to this position you In addition, you must have Xero experience, and if you have Trust Accounts as well then this with be an advantage, although Trusts training can be provided, along with other training as needed.  You'll be someone who is a confident, personable, results-driven and efficient and be used to using your initiative in order to get things done and be able to keep all of the firm's accounts running smoothly and efficiently.
