Toll group is currently seeking an experienced commercial manager for a temp position located in Prestons. An opportunity is now available to work for the Toll Group in our flagship warehouse which was purposely designed and built to service a growing online retail market. With state of the art facilities including an automated system for product storage, the role is an exciting avenue into the Toll Group.

As the commercial manager, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting effective financial management of the business unit.
• Building value-driven relationships between customers and the business unit.
• Providing recommendations for continuous improvement of site operations.

Key tasks and responsibilities for the role include:

• Creating business plans for projects to ensure objectives are met.
• Work with the business corporate function to develop and implement innovative solutions across technology, processes and policies.
• Develop and implement standards, ensuring they meet the needs of the business.
• Ensure outcomes deliver overall business benefits in financial terms.
• Develop, maintain and distribute cost and financial accounting analysis.
• Develop, maintain and distribute accurate and timely productivity and performance measurements, reporting and analysis.
• Ensure all accounts are processed correctly within defined period/budgetary time frames.
• Recordkeeping - invoices and KPI reports.
• Determine and arrange weekly labour requirements in conjunction with the operations manager.
• Ensure payroll is effectively managed - zero discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies and regulations.
• Actively review, interpret and advise on customer and supplier contracts.
• Develop strategies for continuous improvement which meet financial accountabilities.
• Develop value-driven relationships with customers and throughout the Toll Group.

To succeed in the role you will be:

• Experience in retail/FMCG environment highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills - ability to identify solutions and communicate them effectively.
• Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
• Proactive in identifying the customer’s needs and business requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is essential.
