Our Finance team forms part of our regional support function and manages financial planning, performance management, financial compliance and reporting. We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team supporting David Jones and Country Road Group.

In this role you will:

• Prepare and review of the monthly accounting entries including month end close
• Review accuracy of results and assist in the preparation of monthly P&L
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances in a timely manner
• Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and other reports as required
• Ensure compliance with Woolworths Holding Ltd accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standards
• Assist external auditors to complete annual audit process on time
• Continue development of process and procedures to increase accuracy, efficiency and process streamlining between entities

• Have demonstrated experience as a Financial Accountant preferably within Retail
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and are highly organised
• Are CA/CPA qualified
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders, both internal and external
• Have a demonstrated ability to manage complex, time-dependent deliverables and work within a fast paced environment whilst balancing competing interests
