Financial Accountant - Immediate start!
The Organisation: Exciting opportunity to join Melbourne’s largest FMCG, based in Melbourne’s CBD. Six-month contract with a view for permanency.
About the Role:
A vacancy has given you the opportunity to join the business on a temp to perm basis.
Supporting the Finance Manager, you will bring your skills as an experienced Financial Accountant to the team to hit the ground running ASAP.
In a high-volume environment, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting both month and year end accounting
- Complex balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed asset management
- All necessary tax compliance - GST, income tax and FBT
- Preparing BAS statements
- Ad-hoc assistance with project accounting (WIP)
- Supporting the business with budgeting and forecasting
About Yourself
The ideal candidate must be immediately available or with a short notice period. We are looking for someone with the following background:
- Local tax exposure (GST and income tax essential)
- Experience with WIP accounting
- Assistant or financial accounting experience
- Experience with fixed assets with medium/large organisations
