About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Finance Operations Manager the Finance Team Lead oversees the day-to-day management of a team that together provides finance and commercial support to the Business in the areas of Tradespend, Fixed Assets and General Accounting.
With a strong focus on customer service, the responsibilities of the Team Lead is to identify and improve the overall service standards provided, seek opportunities to improve processes and ensure a high level of process and controls management is in place.
Key Responsibilities
- General management of the Tradespend, Fixed Assets and General Accounting teams to ensure all operational requirements are met
- Reviewing the weekly activities of both the onshore and offshore teams
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and working closely with the team and business to implement
- Acting as the liaison between the commercial business and the shared service team to drive and support management of customer tradespend claims
- Conducting regular reviews to processes and activities to identify areas of opportunity and improvement
- Ensuring excellent service levels are achieved through the provision of team training and effective collaboration with the offshore team and commercial business functions
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly Shared Business Services budget actuals and forecasts and provide commentary on any variances
- Meeting daily and ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as required
- Creating additional analyses and reports as requested by the business or Finance Operations Manager
- Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Leading and managing the team ensuring performance measurements and management procedures are in place
About You
- Prior experience in an Accounting role with a focus on fixed assets and general accounting
- Prior experience managing or working with an offshore team (preferred)
- Prior experience within FMCG organisation (ideal)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent team leadership skills
- Skilled at working effectively in a changing and fast moving environment that throws up daily challenges
- Degree qualified with CA/CPA or overseas equivalent (preferred)
