Our client is a privately owned construction projects company with a knowledge base spanning over 35 years.
It has developed a reputation as a highly respected and trusted company, well known in the industry for unique and innovative building solutions.
They are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Project Accountant coming out of a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Construction or engineering organisation.
Description
Within this role you will be responsible for the day to day running of the finance function. You will need exceptional written and verbal communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. Your role will include but not limited to the following:
- Management of Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- General ledger & Bank reconciliations.
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
- Accruals & Prepayments.
- Analysis of Gross Operating Profits (GOP’s)
- Month, QTR, year end
- WIP costing
Profile
As the successful Candidate you will already have a strong understanding of accounting with exposure to the above tasks, ideally within Construction, Building or Engineering. You will also have good relationship building skills and a motivated and energetic personality. High attention to detail is a must along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
