Permanent, full time Senior Payroll Officer role close to the Sydney CBD for a retail company.

Your new role
In this stand-alone role, you will take on full responsibility of all areas of payroll whilst reporting into the Financial Controller. Day to day you will be responsible for the following:
- Setting up new starters
- Payroll processing for 700 employees both weekly and monthly
- Process superannuation and tax
- Calculate leave adjustments/redundancies etc
- Process year end including journal entries
- Process improvement/efficiency initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will have a proven track record in a Senior Payroll Officer position, ideally in a stand one capacity. Drawing upon previous experience implementing payroll or time and attendance systems, the successful candidate will be highly IT literate and enjoy streamlining processes. As this role will be highly self-directed, you must be a self starter who needs minimal supervision.
Experience using a large payroll system either Micropay, SAP, Preceda or ADP is essential while exposure to a T&A system is highly preferred. Experience within hospitality or retail will also be highly preferred..
