We have a superb and unique role for a Forensic ACcountant who is looking for a flexible role in a reputable organisation with no billing. 

Representing a regulatory body, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews of law firms throughout New South Wales and investigating fraud and fidelity fund claims.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a fully flexible role where you can work from home or the city as you will be planning your week and ensuring that all audits are carried out in a timely manner.
 
Reporting to a Director you will receive full training in the city office so that you are able to conduct audits and investigations as well as assisting firms by providing advice on compliance.  
 
The Position
 
Financial Fraud Investigation/Forensic Accounting

• Undertaking financial analysis into accounting records of law firms and other entities owned by the lawyer/s. 
• Investigating complaints and tip offs
• Evidence gathering such as general inquiries, review of records, interview (victims or accused) and money trial tracing (through financial analysis).
• Preparing expert witness reports with relevant evidence to the appointed Receiver for prosecution and asset recovery.
• Preparing expert witness reports to assist the victims in lodging a claim
• Providing accounting advice and guidance to the appointed Receiver
• Investigating claims brought against the Fidelity Fund through detail analysis of financial

 
Risk Management/Compliance Audit

• Conducting risk assessment of law firms to monitor compliance with the relevant legislation. 
• Preparing and providing expert report, with recommendation, to senior management.
• Providing support and training to law firms (employees and management) relating to trust account issues, internal control and risk management.
• Ensuring good communication and monitoring of the law firms to ensure that recommendations are implemented.

 
To be successful

• CA/CPA qualified 
• Forensic investigations experience
• Able to work independently
• Excellent communication skills 
• Have your own vehicle and can travel to clients 

Salary up to $110,000 + super + expenses
