The Company

We are recruiting on behalf of a fast growing Manufacturing company who’s head office is located in Sydney’s CBD. The office is close to train stations with easy accessibility to shops and restaurants. They offer a great working culture and a supportive close-knit team including Friday night drinks. Due to an increase in work load, they are now looking for a hardworking and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join their team with an immediate start. This role will be starting off as a 6 month temporary position, with opportunity to be made permanent if they see strong performance.

The Role

As the successful Accounts Payable Officer you will report directly to the friendly Accounts Payable and Receivable manager and will work in a team of 6. Your responsibilities will include:

• Process a high volume of supplier invoices in a timely manner
• Handle calls to and from suppliers for any inquiries
• Perform reconciliations of bank and supplier accounts
• Accurately coding and matching invoices
• Preparing and posting fortnightly payment runs
• Ad hoc duties as required

Your Profile

In order to be successful, you must have solid Accounts Payable experience and the following attributes:

• Previous experience using a large ERP
• At least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Available immediately
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel
