The Opportunity

 Our Albury Office has an opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Senior Accountant to join their expanding Business Advisory division.
This is an important role which will provide tax, accounting and business advisory services. The successful candidate will always be looking to make a real contribution to clients businesses and their personal affairs.
 
Key responsibilities is the role include:

• Preparing clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
• Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
• Assisting junior employees with work and act as a mentor/buddy;
• Preparing financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
• Preparing documents for client meetings with Partner;
• Helping to identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
• Preparing and analysing management accounting reports; and
• Conducting tax compliance reviews of tax returns and FBT returns.

 The Successful Applicant
 
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

• Business / Commerce degree with Accounting major;
• CA/CPA qualified;
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role;
• Auditing experience
• Experience using CLASS systems
• Experience with all types of entities including individual, companies and trusts;
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
• Strong attention to detail
