The key remit of the Financial Controller is to build a high-performance finance function, revered by internal key stakeholders and external parties alike. To be considered successful in this position a candidate must be able to deliver the following results:
- Provide leadership and coordination in external financial reporting, management reporting and operational accounting.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, operational analysis and forecasts.
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders. The deliverable here will be ensuring that key stakeholders understand and actively manage their performance.
- Ensure strong hands-on financial controls and appropriate processes and procedures are in place across the business.
- Interact frequently and effectively with the senior leadership team to deliver key financial results.
- Lead various projects including the implementation of any new systems and upgrades.
We require a suitable qualified individual (CA/CPA/CIMA) with prior experience in a financial leadership position within a relevant 'service' based setting. Forward thinking and energetic, the ideal candidate will bring a high degree of integrity, innovation and passion to achieve success and will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and immersing themselves within the business to drive positive change. Key is the ability to operate autonomously, communicate effectively and juggle multiple priorities; such as delivering key business initiatives and projects. The role demands a highly motivated, engaging and outcome orientated individual.
