About the role

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this position works as part of an integrated finance team and is responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate end to end processing of accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tenant invoicing and receipting;
  • Finalise tenant accounts, process tenant refunds and bond claims;
  • Respond to tenant enquiries relating tenant accounts;
  • Review/reconcile Suspense transactions and follow-up unidentified items;
  • Perform the day to day processing of accounts receivable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner;
  • Assist other members of the Finance team with other matters as they arise.

About You:

We are seeking someone who is proactive and passionate about their role, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  You will have a great head for numbers and the ability to consistently manage high volumes of transactions whilst juggling competing priorities.

You will have the skills, ability and willingness to work with a diverse range of people, have high attention to detail and a proactive approach to your tasks and possess excellent customer service and administration skills. You will be able to adapt to changing requests and deadlines and be a natural organiser.

Essential selection criteria: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a similar role in a medium or large organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of high volume accounts;
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of general accounting concepts and their applications;
  • Demonstrated experience in use of IT systems (in particular Excel, Word and mail merge functions) and accounting applications;
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Previous experience in a not for profit environment would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Accounts qualifications and knowledge of the Not for Profit sector would be highly desirable.
