The Organisation:
With substantial operations across Australia, this national player is currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer who has a combination of sound payroll skills coupled with a proactive, customer friendly approach.  This represents a busy and varied role that will provide indispensable support to the Payroll team.  The Payroll Manager has been described as supportive and has a wealth of experience to help grow and support the team. She is very supportive of her staff and clear in her expectations. She doesn't like to micro-manage people and would ideally be interested in chatting with people who can work well autonomously in high volume environments.   
  
The Position:
As an experienced Payroll Officer with experience working in a full function payroll capacity, you will ultimately be responsible for completing weekly and monthly pay runs in a very busy, high volume environment.  You will be setting up new employees on the system as well as managing any issues arising from terminations or resignations. You should have experience interpreting awards.  You will also play a vital role in supporting the payroll team with month end and year end processes including superannuation, payroll tax and worker's compensation.
 
Your Profile:
To be considered for this role, it is imperative that you are able to demonstrate solid full function payroll experience. It is critical you have the experience and aptitude to work in high volume, busy environments.  Exposure to recruitment or labour hire businesses will be a significant advantage.  To truly succeed and differentiate yourself in this position, you will need great attention to detail, a proactive approach and the ability to integrate yourself seamlessly into new work environments. The payroll department has a reputation internally within the business as being an excellent service provider to its internal and external customers so strong customer service when dealing with people is essential.
