The Freshmax Group is a leading Australasian fresh produce marketer and service provider, located across Australia and New Zealand with growth opportunities globally.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join the Australia Finance team based in Derrimut, Melbourne.

The role will be responsible for:

• the weekly sales and profitability reporting including analysis and commentary
• monitoring and updating the cash flow reports and cash position
• preparation of weekly cashflow forecasts
• ongoing management of export insurance for all of the export operations within the Valleyfresh part of the business (including liaison with overseas offices)
• preparation of payroll related returns including payroll tax, superannuation, workcover
• preparation of Fringe Benefit tax returns
• intercompany invoicing
• weekly bank reconciliations
• monthly general ledger reconciliations including month end accruals and journals
• maintaining the fixed asset registers
• Assisting with interim and year end results

To be successful in this role you will have commenced or completed your CPA or CA qualification, have previous management and financial accounting experience, strong proactive analytical and financial accounting skills.  Ideally you will have experience within the FMCG, manufacturing or fresh produce industry.  Candidates will have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels within the organisation and be highly organised.
