As the Accounts Payable Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring Telstra Accounts Payable or Receipting policy and processes are adhered to achieve business goals and outcomes

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager you will be part of our core Finance Team where you’ll do work on a scale you can’t elsewhere. You’ll be exposed to many new challenges, to leading edge technology, systems and methodologies. You will be working on projects such as driving the development and implementation of finance and operational strategies to continuously improve productivity performance while meeting customer service Legal and regulatory requirements. You'll be challenged and stretched, but you'll also be rewarded. The work is complex and stimulating, but with that comes a great sense of achievement.

Success in this role will see you directly and indirectly improve our customer’s experience driving performance improvements across the team which will assist in achieving Telstra NPS target and customer advocacy

You’ll have various accountabilities, however some key focuses include;

• Review processes result in changes with measurable benefits such as fewer and simpler processes, delivered earlier and faster
• Assist with implementation of key strategic projects
• Achieve the delivery of Telstra’s Accounts Payable business objectives within prescribed parameters and agreed budget
• Manage deliverables and output of on shore team members responsible for delivering Telstra’s Accounts Payable functions as described in the service catalogue for assigned portfolios
• Manage escalations and exceptions for Accounts Payable processes
• Maintain effective business relationships with external parties e.g. Suppliers, Outsourced partners, and customers
• Provide analysis and commentary to identify key factors and trends impacting financial and operational performance for the assigned portfolio

We are looking for the best people in their field, you will have a passion for leadership and the ability to connect with stakeholders and customers at all levels, in addition we would also like to see;

• Tertiary qualifications in finance and business related filed
• Demonstrable experience in driving team performance
• Experience in managing and prioritising competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Background in operational environments highly desirable
