The Company
This 2 partner firm prides itself on creating relationships for the long-term, providing clients with the full service for financial needs. Staff are educated on issues such as estate planning, insurance, superannuation and wills, to allow them to think outside the box and make appropriate referrals for clients. Housing a positive office culture, the partners provide strong administrative support to allow accountants to easily achieve productivity, and focus on building client relationships through business advisory work.
The Role/Individual
The firm is looking for a personable Intermediate/Senior level accountant, experienced in Business Services, who will fit in with the office culture.
A suitable candidate would possess the following:
- Ability to see the big picture on a job (not just the task at hand)/think outside the box
- Solid technically: Ability to take a job from start-to-finish
- Experience with PSI, FBT, CGT, Div 7A
- Previous hands on experience with clients (Client meetings and phone interaction): Proven ability to create rapport, leading to long-term professional relationships
- An enthusiastic attitude and desire to see clients thrive
- A drive for career progression
Duties:
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns, BAS’s, IAS’s & Financial Statements for all types of entities (including SMSF’s)
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Preparation of PAYGW Variations
- Liaising with the ATO on taxation matters
- Research – tax and business advisory
- Communicating with clients and other stakeholders
- Inspire client loyalty through the end to end management and delivery of quality tax compliance and consulting advice across a range of tax matters
- Work with Managers and Partners to achieve clients business and financial goals, through forecasts, budgets and the analysis and interpretation of information
Skills & Experience
The following requirements are necessary in order to be considered:
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role
- Commenced or Completed CA/CPA
- Previous experience using MYOB AE & BGL 360 advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal skills- both written & verbal
