About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. The successful person will have a pivotal role in the practice management, working with the principal in coordinating workflow and reviewing the completion of various tax returns and financial accounts for our clients, as well as connecting with and building client relationships. The position expands into managing and mentoring team members as well as developing our systems and processes.
The key areas of responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the workflow of junior team members
- Provide training and mentoring to team members
- Assist clients with tax and business advice
- Review / prepare financial statements for a range of entity types
- Review / prepare tax returns for a range of client types
- Review / prepare BAS / FBT / GST Returns
- Attend meetings with clients as required
- Tax planning and research
Remuneration
This position comes with an attractive remuneration package, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Key Skills and Experience
The key attributes for this role include:
- At least 5 years' tax experience in public practice
- CPA, CA or IPA qualified
- Strong computer skills and use of in-the-cloud programs (imperative)
- A desire to develop your mentoring and management skills
- Take pride in the accuracy of your work and attention to detail
- Strong and current knowledge of Australian Taxation legislation
