The Position
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Officer to join Emeco team to provide data entry and administrative support to the Accounts Payable team.
About The Role
Reporting to the Operations Accountant you will be required to:
- Conduct daily data entry into the Great Plains accounting system and Workplace internal authorisation system
- Monitor invoice query process and ensure effective outcomes
- Conduct the scheduled accounts payable process
- Reconcile creditor accounts on a day to day basis
- Act as a contact point internally and externally for accounts payable queries
- Process 100+ invoices per day
- Administration of the Emeco contractor management and new vendor process
- Assist with general administration duties as required, answering telephone calls, email/telephone correspondence to internal and external customers and routine filing of invoices and payments
Your Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role, in a high volume processing environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and have effective organisational and communication skills
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- A positive attitude and drive for continuous improvement
- A strong team and customer focus
