The Senior Financial Accountant will support the Corporate Head office and will be responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, management reporting and statutory reporting. This will include overseeing the month & year-end processes, reconciliation of balance sheets, and identifying/implementing process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be technically competent, have strong work experience (ideally Big 4 and industry) and be able to deliver on the business as usual job functions in an efficient and accurate manner. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be able to challenge processes and be able to engage stakeholders in order to make transformation.

Description

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger
• Monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare  statutory reports
• Coordinate external audit process
• Maintain, update and enforce finance policies and procedures
• Identify business improvement opportunities
• Provide analysis to internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion
• Take leadership role when implementing the finance department strategy

Experience

• Month end reporting and processes
• Co-ordinating external audits
• Exposure to retail (desirable)
• Ability to work (and thrive) in a fast pace environment
• SAP. BI and TM1 (highly desirable)
• 3+ years in technical accounting role
• Big 4 audit experience (highly regarded)

Qualifications

• Tertiary accounting qualification
• CA/CPA
