The Role:

  • Collating, validating and storing financial data received
  • Undertaking the analysis of qualitative and quantitative financial information to:
    • support financial risk assessments;
    • support regulatory decision making and regulatory functions, such as through compliance assessments;
    • provide advice and input to other specialist risk and regulation experts.
  • Consulting with the Assessment and Investigation and Assurance groups to seek and share expertise in relation to financial assessments and liaise with providers as appropriate;
  • Analyse and provide advice on mitigation strategies that may reduce financial risk;
  • Developing and undertaking analysis and reporting on financial indicators and trends at the sector level

About You

  • Relevant qualification in accountancy or finance and CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification
  • The successful candidate will possess tertiary qualification in accountancy or finance and will be CPA/CA qualified or working towards this qualification.
  • A thorough understanding of financial information including financial statement preparation, profitability analysis, financial KPIs, cash flow and balance sheet analysis is essential.
  • Experience in analysing the financial performance across a range of organisations is preferred. An advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel and exposure to working with datasets is required.
  • Exposure to the tertiary education sector is desirable but not essential.
