Full description
You will be assisting the Coordinator and Manager of Financial Services to successfully deliver the Council’s financial statements in an accurate and timely manner whilst complying with organisational policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

Our local government client is seeking a savvy degree qualified Financial Accountant that has 3 years experience in a corporate accounting position. Demonstrated experience with preparing annual financial statements in a time effective manner is crucial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with the annual audit
- Compile financial reports and returns to outside agencies
- Coordinate the asset revaluation process when required
- Ensure the General Ledger is appropriately maintained
- Identify and communicate to management any issues affecting financial performance
- Assist in the improvement of service quality
