Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking a permanent, full-time Occupational Therapist to support their Adult Allied Health team.

Your new role
Reporting to the Team Leader - Adult Allied Health, you’ll plan, deliver and evaluate person-centred Occupational Therapy services that deliver choice and control to participants. Key responsibilities will include, amongst others:

  • Providing evidence-based occupational therapy interventions for participants presenting with a wide range of conditions and syndromes
  • Providing comprehensive assessment services to address needs regarding personal care, safety, independent living, social, psychological and emotional issues, and develop appropriate treatment plans to meet identified needs, including assistive technology and home modification strategies
  • Contributing to client intake through provision of initial assessments for new clients, including assessment for ongoing clinical needs, current functional capacity and environmental barriers / hazards
  • Providing independent, specialist and clinical input into NDIS program planning, development and delivery of core business
  • Ongoing communication with external NDIS stakeholders
  • Leading and contributing to the development of individual and group programs within the organisation’s service areas, including Supported Independent Living, Short-term Accommodation and Day Programs


What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you’ll have tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and will have current registration with AHPRA. You’ll also have a minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience with an adult caseload, ideally in a community setting. You’ll also have knowledge of, and postgraduate clinical experience in, best practice management of neurological disorders, management of upper limb dysfunctions, wheelchair and seating, and environmental modifications. Experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients will be highly regarded. Additionally, you’ll have, or will be willing to obtain, a Police Check, Ochre Card, and First Aid Certificate.
