Accounts Payable & Senior Admin Officer

Our Team is looking for an experienced and friendly Accounts Payable Officer with Administration experience for our busy Mackay Office. Your role has responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly processing of the accounts payable and receivable functions of the business and other administrative duties as required.

As well as having lots of prior experience in the full accounts processing function of large businesses, you will be someone who thrives on challenge and being flexible and is calm and organised under the pressure of getting everything done correctly and on time.

Your direct experience & abilities will include:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable functions of large business
  • Processing and reconciliation of accounts through to supplier payment
  • Payroll processing
  • General admin and office support experience
  • Supporting several departments with administrative and accounts functions
  • Preferred experience in MYOB or Quickbooks and job costing system/s is a must
  • At least 2+ years experience in an accounts payable role
  • Recent experience in the engineering and mining sector would be highly regarded

Personally you will:

  • Be friendly, calm and be able achieve desired results on a deadline
  • Have accurate and fast data entry skills – this is a must-have for success in this role
  • High Level Computer skills and experience in Microsoft word, excel, outlook etc
  • High Attention to detail and accuracy in your work
  • Be able to prioritise and plan and meet deadlines proactively
  • Committed to performing your role to the highest level possible and have the personal flexibility to commit the time required to achieve
  • Be positive, resourceful with a can-do attitude
  • Be able to work Monday to Friday 40-45 hours as required by the role

 

You must also have:

  • Current driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Be currently living in Mackay
  • An up to date resume supporting your prior work history in this area
  • Contactable work-related referees who will attest to your abilities

We have a labour force of over 50 and provide both labour and products/sales to a developed client base and have a smaller administrative team Paget, Mackay. We are a growing business and require a team player who can help us develop and streamline our administrative function.
