We are looking for someone to partner with our marketing function based at North Sydney overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

We’ve got some of the worlds most recognised brands in our portfolio, and helping us market them are some of the best marketing people in the world. With all of the ideas, innovations, campaign investments, pricing etc that come up it’s essential that we have the right financial information in front of us so that we can make informed decisions. That’s why we’re looking for someone to join us in the Marketing Finance team, to lead our prioritisation and brand investment and working closely with our brand marketing team to execute those investment decisions. Through your key insights – we’ll rely on this data to help us set the long term strategic direction of our iconic brands and Australian business.

A little more nitty gritty? You’ll play a key role in informing decisions on:

  • The strategic allocation and investment of marketing funds (~$70m AUD);
  • Management and delivery of that budget in an increasingly efficient and effective manner in service of the ANZ performance ambition (short and long term);
  • Innovation and new product business cases and strategy support;
  • The strategic direction of the business (innovation, future category focuses and formation of ‘Strategic Plan’ feed for the following year’s Annual Operating Plan);
  • The formation and implementation of commercial capability for the broader marketing function (including enabling streamlined performance management and an increasing ability to self-service on commercial analysis reporting); and
  • Development and management of analyst team members.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Science, Maths or related field;
  • CA, CPA or other professional accounting experience preferred;
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and dynamic budget management;
  • Highly numerate and analytical nature with strong attention to detail;
  • Seeks to understand root cause of issues and action-orientated at source;
  • Strong business partnering experience and ability in balancing working relationships with different stakeholders ( personalities and priorities);
  • Highly flexible leadership style and proven ability to influence outcomes across a range of stakeholder groups;
  • Resilience and calm working under pressure and to deadlines / outcomes; and
  • Brilliant people (direct or indirect) management and development skills and a passion for driving capability growth in self and others
